Cherish Child was born of a desire to find well designed, gorgeous and affordable clothing, natural toys and products for our young growing families. Along with a aspiration to fulfil a life long dream of running a business we were clear that we wanted our venture to represent everything that is valuable to us: 

• To dress our children in natural fabrics, free from chemicals (organic) and therefore safe for them and the environment in which they are growing up. 

• To allow our little ones, and yours, the freedom to grow, learn, develop and have the ability to enjoy infancy and childhood as they should in simple, practical and above all comfortable clothing that was also stylish and functional. 

• To provide long lasting styles that would transcend any fashion season but to also offer original, eclectic and edgy designs that were thoughtfully designed. 

• To focus on New Zealand made brands. 

So whether you are the classic parent looking for that special item, the vintage fashionista with boho chic, the young inner city rock n roll loving parent or passionate about living organic Cherish Child offers a range of clothing and fantastic brands to suit all fashion savvy parents. 

Cherish Child store first opened October 2007 in Mount Maunganui and through popular demand and requests to send products to customers throughout New Zealand it was obvious that our next step was to set up an online store. 

We challenge ourselves daily to keep ahead of the market, to find new innovative clothing, new fabric uses and designs along with the best toys on offer. We assure you that the products in our store and online are there because we have used them, we trust them and fully recommend them to you. We just love what we do!
